Brief introduction: Fcgrt gene encodes a receptor that binds to the Fc region of IgG, allowing IgG to be transferred from mothers to infants through the blood-embryo barrier. This receptor protein can also bind to IgG to prevent IgG from degradation.

Phenotypic characteristics: The gene expresses the human FcRn protein, but not the mouse FcRN protein. The half-life of hIgG in B-hFcgrt(FcRn) mice is greatly increased. The serum hIgG retention of the mice is detected through an ELISA test three weeks after injection of human IgG (2mg/kg) into the tail vein. hIgG in wild-type C57B/L6 mice is almost completely degraded in two weeks.
