Brief introduction: Apolipoprotein A4 is mainly synthesized in the small intestine and liver. APOA4 is mainly secreted into the circulatory system and exists on the surface of newly synthesized chylomicron granules. Although the main function of ApoA4 is unclear, existing studies show that APOA4 is involved in appetite and satiety regulation in rodent models. In-vitro tests also show that APOA4 can regulate lipid transportation, as well as activate lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase and cholesterol acyl transfer protein.
Phenotypic characteristics: Study applications for multiple fields such as heart and blood vessels, atherosclerosis, diabetes, and obesity. 【Return list】
