Position Summary

Our ideal candidate will have strong strategic marketing planning expertise and familiarity with identifying new markets, new channels, and business opportunities within the Life Sciences especially focusing on Antibody Drug Development or Preclinical research. The Director of Strategic Marketing will take the lead role at the level of marketing strategies and operation. The major focus will be on marketing promotion of RenMab/antibody discovery licensing/collaboration, preclinical studies using immune checkpoint humanized mouse models, immune deficient mouse models, other diseases models, gene targeting and genome editing services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead company’s effort on promoting RenMab/antibody discovery licensing/co-development globally, especially the USA, Canada, and Europe. 
  • Lead company’s effort on strategic marketing analysis on our key products, competitors, marketing landscapes
  • Branding strategy to differentiate Biocytogen from competitors and to promote collaboration/partnership globally
  • Integrate Biocytogen Boston and Beijing marketing teams to serve global marketing and sales endeavors
  • Responsible for personnel management activities, such as scheduling, hiring, promotions, training and development, providing regular direction and feedback on performance, disciplinary actions and preparing and delivering annual performance
  • Lead and manage the marketing team efficiently and professionally on the team daily operation, online and offline marketing to achieve company marketing goals by providing the team with appropriate tools, materials, and presentations
  • Develop marketing and branding strategies for new and existing mouse models, cell lines, and preclinical services
  • Manage the design and production of relevant marketing materials using internal marketing support resources and guidelines to ensure a consistent positioning and messaging for the company
  • Implement marketing strategies using email campaigns and campaign followup, events, digital marketing and public relations activities, as part of global marketing team
  • Marketing/sales effectiveness evaluation and optimization at global level (through SFDC)
  • Lead the effort on constructing and updating the company’s digital platforms: website, LinkedIn, newsletters, whitepapers, and email campaigns
  • Direct and develop tradeshows, seminar and sponsorship strategies, goals and objectives as well as tactical initiatives
  • Maintain and update various business-related databases, especially client database updates 
  • Lead generation from multiple channels and delegation to BD managers accordingly using Salesforce
  • Coordinate tasks with other Biocytogen teams (e.g. sales/BD, Technology, R&D) 
  • Complete other business-related tasks as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) or higher degree in scientific field (molecular biology, immunology, oncology) or related discipline. Master’s degree (M.B.A) with emphasis on marketing.
  • 5+ years of marketing/client relations/sales experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO
  • Ability to manage a team with different levels of experience
  • Decent understanding of Market analysis, including marketing sizing, customer segmentation, targeting, and competitor analysis
  • Capable of training of marketing associates for professional development
  • Strong knowledge of antibody discovery, immunology and oncology, market needs, and business models
  • The ability to make the connection between market trend, needs and current and potential product offerings, especially human antibody transgenic mouse models and therapeutic antibody discovery
  • Experience using Salesforce to manage team lead generations and business opportunities and familiarity with typical sales tactics
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work proactively, demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Willingness to undertake tasks at all levels when necessary
  • Strong record of revenue achievement is a plus
