Autoimmune diseases and other inflammatory disorders are mediated by dysfunction of the body’s immune system, typically in the form of hypersensitivity. These disorders are subject to intensive research and drug development efforts, and require extensive study in mouse models of inflammation. Biocytogen provides robust inflammatory, auto-immune disease models, including those designed to experimentally model experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), psoriasis, asthma, and other diseases in mice.
Novel anti-human inflammatory modulators can also be tested in our humanized cytokine/cytokine receptor mouse models. These mouse models of inflammation allow researchers to evaluate the preclinical efficacy of therapeutics against specific human targets in mice critical to the underlying molecular mechanisms of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases.
We boast well-established inflammatory and autoimmune disease in vivo models based on wild type mice and our proprietary target humanized mice, which are ready for preclinical services to our clients.
Biocytogen has developed humanized mice specifically tailored for autoimmune diseases such as asthma, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, intestinal inflammation, and rheumatoid arthritis. These models express human candidate genes, enabling drug candidates to interact with human-specific targets. This approach is critical for in vivo evaluations of drug efficacy, toxicity, and pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD), accelerating the drug development process and bringing effective treatments to patients more quickly.
