Species-specific ANGPTL4 gene expression analysis in wild-type and B-hANGPTL4 mice by RT-PCR. Murine Angptl4 mRNA was detected in fatty tissue isolated from wild-type (+/+) mice, while human ANGPTL4 mRNA was exclusively detected in homozygous B-hANGPTL4 (H/H) mice.

Species-specific ANGPTL4 protein expression analysis in homozygous B-hANGPTL4 mice by western blot. Fatty tissue was isolated from wild-type (+/+) and homozygous B-hANGPTL4 (H/H) mice, and analyzed by western blot using a cross-reactive anti-m/hANGPTL4 antibody. ANGPTL4 protein was not only detected in both wild-type and B-hANGPTL4 mice, but ANGPTL4 protein levels were also higher under fasting conditions in wild-type and B-hANGPTL4 mice.
