Protein expression analysis

Species-specific MARCO protein expression analysis in wild-type and humanized B-hMARCO mice. Peritoneal exudate macrophages (PEMs) were isolated from wild-type C57BL/6 (+/+) and heterozygous B-hMARCO (H/+) mice stimulated with thioglycolate broth in vivo and analyzed by flow cytometry using species-specific anti-MARCO antibodies. Murine MARCO protein was detected in wild-type and B-hMARCO mice, while human MARCO protein was detected in B-hMARCO mice.
