Species-specific CD133 protein expression analysis in wild-type and humanized B-hCD133 mice. Bone marrow-derived hematopoietic stem cells (Lin-/lowmSca1+mCD117+) were isolated from wild-type (+/+) and homozygous B-hCD133 (H/H) mice, and analyzed by flow cytometry using species-specific anti-CD133 antibodies. Mouse CD133 protein was detected in wild-type mice, while human CD133 protein was detected in B-hCD133 mice.
