Antibody Cloning from Human PBMCs

We screen B cells isolated from human PBMCs to identify antigen-specific antibodies with high affinity to your target.

Why Human PBMCs?

Although screening immunized mice and other animals for antigen-specific antibodies has proven to be extraordinarily useful, this approach is not always an ideal choice for certain applications.

For example, discovery of novel diagnostic, biomarker, or therapeutic anti-human antibodies may be best achieved through the screening of human B cells from patients. For these types of applications, we have expertise performing human PBMC-derived antibody cloning.  These antibodies could be particularly useful for advancing treatments for infectious disease or autoimmune disease.

Our Human PBMC Discovery Workflow

Similar to tissue isolated from immunized animals, we can also screen B cells isolated from human PBMCs to identify antigen-specific antibodies with high affinity for your target, using either the Beacon® Optofluidic System and/or FACS-based sorting technologies. The positive cells are then captured and sequenced for further validation and analysis.
