mRNA expression analysis
Strain specific analysis of SOST gene expression in C57BL/6(+/+) and homozygous B-hSOST mice by RT-PCR. Mouse Sost mRNA was detectable only in heart and testis of C57BL/6(+/+) mice. Human SOST mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hSOST mice, but not in C57BL/6(+/+) mice.
Protein expression analysis
Strain specific analysis of SOST gene expression in C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hSOST mice (H/H) by western blot. Heart were collected from C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hSOST mice (H/H). SOST was detectable in the heart of the C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and B-hSOST mice (H/H) due to the cross-reactivity of antibodies.
