mRNA expression analysis
Strain specific analysis of ADRB1 mRNA expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and B-hADRB1 mice by RT-PCR. Liver RNA were isolated from wildtype C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hADRB1 mice (H/H), then cDNA libraries were synthesized by reverse transcription, followed by PCR with mouse or human ADRB1 primers. Mouse Adrb1 mRNA was detectable only in wild-type C57BL/6 mice. Human ADRB1 mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hADRB1 mice but not in wild-type mice.
Protein expression analysis

Western blot analysis of ADRB1 protein expression in homozygous B-hADRB1 mice. Various tissue lysates were collected from C57BL/6N wild-type mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hADRB1 mice (H/H), and then analyzed by western blot with anti-ADRB1 antibody. 40 μg total proteins were loaded for western blotting analysis. ADRB1 was detectable in heart, liver and brain of homozygous B-hADRB1 mice. The protein expression level of ADRB1 was relatively low in the lung and kidney of homozygous B-hADRB1 mice.
