The genomic sequences from the exon 1 of mouse Cd59b to the exon 5 of mouse Cd59a that encode the full-length protein of mouse CD59b and CD59a were replaced by the exons 1-4 of human CD59 gene in B-hCD59 mice.
Protein expression analysis of CD59 in T cells and B cells
Mouse CD59a and human CD59 expression analysis in T cells and B cells. T cells and B cells were isolated from the blood of wild type C57BL/6 mice, homozygous B-hCD59 mice and human blood cells. CD59 expressed on T cells and B cells were analyzed by flow cytometry with anti-CD59 antibody. Mouse CD59a were detectable on T cells and B cells of wild type C57BL/6, but not on the cells of B-hCD59 mice and human blood cells. Human CD59 was detectable on T cells and B cells of B-hCD59 mice and human blood cells, but not on the cells of wild type C57BL/6 mice.
