mRNA expression analysis
Strain specific analysis of CX3CR1 gene expression in wild type (WT) mice and B-hCX3CR1 mice by RT-PCR. Mouse Cx3cr1 mRNA was detectable only in bone marrow cells of WT mice (+/+). Human CX3CR1 mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hCX3CR1 mice (H/H) but not in WT mice (+/+).
Protein expression analysis-Monocytes
Strain specific CX3CR1 expression analysis in homozygous B-hCX3CR1 mice by flow cytometry. Splenocytes were collected from wild type (WT) mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hCX3CR1 mice (H/H), and analyzed by flow cytometry with species-specific anti-CX3CR1 antibody. Mouse CX3CR1 was detectable in WT mice (+/+). Human CX3CR1 was exclusively detectable in homozygous B-hCX3CR1 mice (H/H) but not in WT mice (+/+).
