Gene targeting strategy for B-hITGA1 mice. The exon 2~29 of mouse Itga1 gene that encodes the full-length protein was replaced by human ITGA1 exon 2~29 in B-hITGA1 mice.
Strain specific ITGA1 expression analysis in homozygous B-hITGA1 mice by flow cytometry. Splenocytes were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hITGA1 mice (H/H), and analyzed by flow cytometry with species-specific anti-ITGA1 antibody. Human ITGA1 was detected weak expression in homozygous B-hITGA1. Mouse ITGA1 was detected weak expression only in wild-type mice.
