Strain specific analysis of NPR1 gene expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and B-hNPR1 mice by RT-PCR. Mouse Npr1 mRNA was detectable only in ovary of wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+). Human NPR1 mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hNPR1 mice (H/H), but not in wild-type mice.

Strain specific NPR1 expression analysis in homozygous B-hNPR1 mice by western blot. Heart, liver, spleen, lung, brain and ovary were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hNPR1 mice (H/H), and analyzed by western blot with a known cross-reactive anti-NPR1 antibody. The NPR1 protein can be detected in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and homozygous B-hNPR1 mice.
