mRNA expression analysis
Strain specific analysis of S100A9 gene expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and B-hS100A9 mice by RT-PCR. Mouse S100a9 mRNA was detectable only in bone marrow cells of wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+). Human S100A9 mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hS100A9 mice (H/H), but not in wild-type mice.
Protein expression analysis
Strain specific S100A9 expression analysis in homozygous B-hS100A9 mice by flow cytometry. Bone marrow cells were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hS100A9 mice (H/H), and analyzed by flow cytometry with species-specific anti-S100A9 antibody. Mouse S100A9 was detectable in wild-type mice. Human S100A9 was exclusively detectable in homozygous B-hS100A9 but not in wild-type mice.
