Strain specific analysis of CD209 mRNA expression in wild-type C57BL/6 mice and B-hCD209 mice by RT-PCR. Spleen RNA were isolated from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hCD209 mice (H/H), then cDNA libraries were synthesized by reverse transcription, followed by PCR with mouse or human CD209 primers. Mouse CD209a mRNA was detectable only in wild-type C57BL/6 mice. Human CD209 mRNA was detectable only in homozygous B-hCD209 mice but not in wild-type mice.

Strain specific CD209 expression analysis in homozygous B-hCD209 mice by flow cytometry. Spleen were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (+/+) and homozygous B-hCD209 mice (H/H), and analyzed by flow cytometry with anti-CD209 antibody. hCD209 was detectable on DCs and macrophages of the homozygous mice. hCD209 was not detectable on T cells and B cells of the homozygous mice.
